WA Over St. Andrew's, 81-63

Worcester Academy lead from the opening tip & secured a win over NEPSAC Class AA rival St. Andrew's School on Wednesday at Rowe Court, 81-63.

A dunk off the tip by junior guard Kayvaun Mulready (Worcester, MA) put WA up 2-0 early, and they never looked back.  The offense was able to get open shots at will, as juniors TJ Power (Shrewsbury, MA) & Tre Norman (Boston, MA) hit multiple 3-pointers in the first half.  Junior guard Zach Harvey-Seutcheu (Geneva, SWI) provided solid minutes off the bench, as WA took a 47-34 lead into the half.

Worcester's defense picked up and their long range shooting continued.  Post-graduate guard Jake Shapiro (Los Angeles, CA) & senior guard Dan Becil (New York, NY) each hit two 3-pointers in the second half, and the Hilltoppers were able to empty their bench as they cruised in the second half.

Norman lead WA with 21 points.  Becil added 19, while Power chipped in 12.  The Hilltoppers drilled a season-high 15 3-pointers overall.

Worcester improves to 16-7 overall, including 11-4 in Class AA as they come down the stretch.  Worcester will host three more consecutive league opponents to Rowe Court over the next week:
