A Legacy Of Learning
Established in 1834, Worcester Academy is the first independent school founded in Worcester, Massachusetts. Our storied history and time-honored traditions live on in the halls of landmark buildings like Walker Hall, the Capozzoli Family Megaron, Adams, Kingsley, and the Warner Theater, which are all part of the National Register of Historic Places.

The quintessential campus Quad is the epicenter of school life. It’s where Middlers enjoy recess, Upper Schoolers toss frisbees, and students of all ages connect between classes. The Quad also hosts milestone moments like Orientation, Commencement and Reunion.
Worcester Academy’s many academic and residential buildings surround the Quad for a college-like setting that gives even our youngest students a sense of freedom and independence as they traverse campus. From everyday activities to special events, the Quad continues to be a dynamic space that brings our community together.

New Balance Performance Park
The Capozzoli Athletic Center at New Balance Performance Park features a 6,000-square-foot fitness center, three basketball courts, and a six-lane pool. It also includes the Bernon Community Room, a space devoted to our long-standing tradition of connection and collaboration with our Worcester neighbors.

The Capozzoli Athletic Center joins established facilities including Morse Field, recently enhanced with state-of-the-art turf, and the Worcester Academy Performance Center, home to our Black Box Theater.
