Worcester's Stifling Defense Halts Cheshire
Worcester Academy picked up a league road win over host Cheshire Academy behind solid defense & rebounding.
A steady offensive attack by senior guard Dan Becil (New York, NY) & junior guard Tre Norman (Boston, MA) paced WA in the first half, as they went into the locker room with a 35-22 lead.
The defense picked up even more in the second half, and big plays by the veteran backcourt of Becil & post-graduate guard Jake Shapiro (Los Angeles, CA) lead WA to a wire-to-wire victory, 57-41.
Becil lead all scorers with 18 points. Norman chipped in 13.
WA will go on the road to face Wilbraham & Monson tomorrow night.
