WA Falls to Perkiomen, 75-71
Playing in the Hoophall Prep Showcase at AIC in Springfield, MA, WA fell late to PA powerhouse Perkiomen School.
The Hilltoppers were buyoed by first half 3-pointers by senior big man Michael Rabinovich (Hopkinton, MA), junior guard Jhamyl Fricas (Lawrence, MA) & two by sophomore guard Daniel Becil (New York, NY). Power inside by seniors Judson Martindale (Sudbury, MA) & Josh Ogundele (London, ENG) paced WA, as they went into the half with a 41-32 lead.
A late scoring draught sunk WA as Perkiomen got hot late, and defeated the Hilltoppers by four points. The WA second half belonged to senior point guard Quest Harris (Lowell, MA), who scored 15 of his team-high 17 points after halftime.
In addition to Harris' 17, Ogundele scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Martindale added 15. Rabinovich, who (along with Martindale) is a Holy Cross commit, grabbed 11 rebounds.
