The Hilltoppers traveled to Andover and earned a hard fought  2-1 victory over Class A rival Phillips Academy (Andover). The Hilltoppers scored first, as 8th grader Liz Finn was taken down in the box in the 17th minute, and then converted the PK for a 1-0 lead. The score remained the same until the 62nd minute, when Andover tied up the game. But the Hilltoppers bounced back quickly, and 2 minutes later, senior Vanessa Gangi gained possession off a rebound in front of the net and buried her shot for the 2-1 lead. Andover would get one last great opportunity, earning its own PK off a foul in the box with about 3 minutes to go. However, senior keeper Sophia Gardner came up with the save of the game to preserve the victory. It was a strong team effort today, with special mention going to junior Carlin Stewart, who made to most of her time coming off the bench.
