Weekly Athletic Update

Our season is over, and attention now turns towards graduation day for the Class of 2024. In our last update of the year, we start by offering congratulations and good wishes to our Seniors. There’s no turning back the clock so we hope the challenges conquered, lessons learned, and friendships forged will last a lifetime.

  • Our Track & Field teams, Girls’ Tennis and Varsity Baseball all participated in Year-End Championships so kudos to them for a well-deserved accomplishment.

  • Baseball went to the Championship game of the New England Prep Baseball League but fell to Deerfield by a 2-1 count on Sunday in 11-innings. Back-to-back 3rd inning home runs by Cam Papetti and Liam Daly and a masterful, complete game pitching performance by Mav Rizy powered the Hilltoppers past Dexter-Southfield on Saturday to earn a trip to the finals.

  • Girls’ Tennis was the # 6 seed in the Class B Tennis Tournament and squared off against Middlesex on Saturday in Newport, RI. In a closely contested match, the team came up just short but ended a highly successful season with a well-deserved NEPSAC opportunity.

  • Boys’ Tennis finished their campaign with a nice 4-3 victory over Williston in Northampton on Saturday as a senior-laden squad punctuated their legacy with one final victory.

  • Golf won their final match of the season with a 4-2 Match play conquest of the Wheeler School.

  • Crew team finished their season by traveling to Lowell, Ma. on Saturday, their lone “road” event of the Spring season.

  • Boys’ Lacrosse and Girls’ Lacrosse concluded their respective seasons as the boys’ fell to Cushing and the girls’ dropped their home finale (Senior Day) to the Winchendon School.
