WA Falls at Commonwealth
Traveling to Springfield to play NEPSAC Class AA member Commonwealth Academy, WA struggled en route to a 107-58 defeat.
It was a tough start for WA, and they were never able to climb out of the whole set by Commonwealth's relentless pressure. Post-grad point guard Nassir Barrino (Newark, NJ) lead WA with 13 points and 5 rebounds. George Washington bound big man Kevin Marfo (Bergenfield, NJ) scored 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, while Byrant bound wing Tanner Johnson scored 11 points on 3 3-pointers. Sophomore big man Jared Whitt (Hanover, MA) scored a career-high 9 points.
Worcester Academy drops to 6-3 overall, 4-3 in NEPSAC Class AA. They will take on another Class AA foe in St. Andrew's at home on Sunday at 2pm.
