WA Falls To MacDuffie
Worcester Academy traveled to face MacDuffie School on the road on Sunday afternoon. After a close affair throughout, the Hilltoppers fell to the home team, 76-69.
WA got off to a quick 8-0 thanks to baskets by sophomore point guard Quest Harris (Lowell, MA) & sophomore center Josh Ogundele (London, ENG). MacDuffie fought back to take a 33-30 lead into halftime.
A MacDuffie flury during the second half proved to be too much for WA to overcome, and their comeback fell short in the end.
Harris lead all scorers with 24 points. Ogundele scored 17 points & netted a career-high 12 rebounds. Junior forward Mitch Doherty (Acton, MA) chipped in 13 points.
WA falls to 5-5 overall, and 5-4 in NEPSAC Class AA. The Hilltoppers will travel to Proctor Academy on Wednesday at 4:30pm.
