Weekly Athletic Update, 9/12/17
Greetings once again from the Hilltop. Summer is a distant memory and our thoughts and attention turn towards a new year. Last year's departing seniors have opened Leadership opportunities on every team for our returning student-athletes as well as for those who have joined the ranks. We welcome all and encourage your participation and immersion into our programs.
Many of our varsity teams returned on Sunday the 28th for the start of pre-season camp and our sub-varsity tryouts and practices will commence this week as we point towards the opening games next week.
On the head coaching front, we welcome Ms. Pine who will direct the Girls Cross-Country team and Laine Parenteau who will take over as Girls JV Soccer coach. Gene Card has been added to our football coaching staff, Matt Ogle to our Girls Volleyball staff and Graham Sutherland will assist James Proctor and the Boys Soccer team during the fall season.
We’re pleased to be partnering with Peak Performance Training who will oversee the Strength & Conditioning program in Hall Weight Room. Hours will run from 4-6 pm, each day save Wednesdays.

Congratulations to Donald “Dee” Rowe who will receive the prestigious John W. Bunn Lifetime Achievement Award this week as part of the National Basketball Association Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies in Springfield. We join the Worcester Academy community in saluting Coach Rowe and his family for this richly deserved award.
