Matthew Adiletta Wins Four National Awards, WPI Scholarship at MIT Science Fair

Worcester Academy senior Matthew Adiletta, son of Karen and Matthew Adiletta of Bolton, came in First Place at the Massachusetts State Science and Engineering Fair at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to win a scholarship to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) as well as a host of prestigious national awards.

Matt’s project, The Piano Player, utilizes robotic arms that sit atop a keyboard and can play any tune on the piano.

In addition to the WPI scholarship, worth $60,000 annually for four years, Matt also won the 2017 MITRE Corporation Award, the 2017 US Naval Science Award, the 2017 National Youth Science Camp Award, and the 2017 Ben Eisenstadt Memorial award.

Matt, who is a member of the National Cum Laude Society and a standout athlete at Worcester Academy, will attend WPI.
