Boys’ Soccer Captures NEPSAC Class A Soccer Title

Congratulations to the boys varsity soccer team for capturing another Class A NEPSAC Championship on Sunday afternoon in Lancaster. Rafael Matta ’23 scored off a corner throw in the games final minute to send the contest into an overtime session. Milton and WA battled through the OT and the game was decided by PK’s with the Hilltoppers emerging victorious, 3-2. It was an exclamation point on a story book season as the Hilltoppers posted a 19-0-1 mark. The 2022 champions started this championship run with a 3-0 quarter-final win on Wednesday over St. Sebastian’s and a 2-0 shutout win over Avon Old Farms in Saturday’s semi-final match. With a great mix of offensive firepower, a strong defensive core and excellent goal tending, the Hilltoppers displayed a brand of soccer throughout the season that was fun to watch. Congratulations!

  • Girls’ ice hockey travelled to the Hill School in Pennsylvania and opened the season in successful fashion with a 5-2 win over the host Hill School. Five different players scored and Emmy Lacourse made 25 saves in the shutout win.

  • Boys’ basketball posted an 86-82 opening win over Prep power Mt. Zion (Maryland) at the National Showcase tournament in New Haven, Connecticut. Junior Kayvaun Mulready and senior TJ Power both registered double-doubles (points and rebounds) as the Hilltoppers rallied for the victory.

  • Boys’ ice hockey was impressive with two opening scrimmages over the weekend in preparation for the 1st regular season contest at Middlesex School on Wednesday, November 30.
