Weekly Athletics Update

It’s a busy week as athletes and coaches transition from fall to winter seasons. We congratulate all our student-athletes, managers, and staff and thank our coaches for the work they have put in with their respective programs. It’s rather simplistic to assess each season on the merits of wins and losses rather than on the growth and mind-set that has been nurtured and developed over the past 12 weeks. We trust all our athletes have been challenged to improve and to find a way to contribute to the overall success of their squads. We salute our seniors and hope there are more games to be played representing WA prior to graduation.

  • Football travelled to Bridgeport to conclude their season as they took on Capital Harbor Prep on Saturday. The shoot-out that transpired was a competitive game and fun to be a part of, however, the final result saw the Hilltoppers on the losing end of a 33-27 overtime loss.  Despite a difficult season the team battled hard throughout and learned valuable lessons that will serve each of them well in the months and year ahead.
