  • Daniels Gymnasium

    Daniels Gymnasium (1915 with a 1983 addition) has two basketball courts, a wrestling room, a weight room, and a four lane swimming pool. Volleyball is played in this building in the fall. The new gym/basketball court added in 1983, is named to honor former Director of Athletics Donald "Dee" Rowe, ‘47. A running track is above the original basketball court.
  • Gaskill Field

    Gaskill Field (1910) is a located three blocks south of the main campus and was completely renovated in 1995. This complex includes a football field with stands, a six lane quarter mile composition track, four tennis courts, and a baseball field. The baseball diamond is named for long-time Director of Athletics and baseball coach Thomas Blackburn.
  • Morse Field

    Morse Field (South Campus, 2011), named in honor of former Head of School Dexter P. Morse and his wife, Barbara, is located just a block away from the main campus. South Campus consists of a multi-purpose synthetic turf field that hosts varsity football, lacrosse, field hockey, soccer and softball. As part of the $3.2 million project, lights were installed for night games. There is also a walking track surrounding the field. In December 2015, the South Campus Performance Center opened adjacent to Morse Field.
  • New Balance Field

    New Balance Field (2001) is located approximately 5 miles from the main campus. There are 36 acres of land at the complex and the fields, which are on three different elevations, convert from season to season. In the fall the fields at the mid-level are home to our soccer and field hockey teams; in the spring, to our lacrosse, softball, and baseball teams. The fields are beautifully manicured and maintained and are the envy of many opposing teams and spectators. The Harold H. Emmons III ’60 Cross Country Course is 3.1 miles in length and crosses a natural stream at multiple points.
  • The Hall Weight Room

    Donated by Robert F. Hall ’62 in memory of his parents, The Hall Weight Room, located in Heydon Hall, is a 4,500 sq. ft. training facility equipped with over 9,000 pounds of weights and multi - purpose machines for both hard and soft tissue exercises. The room is equipped with: 4x half racks, 2x benches, 2x incline benches, shoulder press, 3x leg machines, glute machine, curl rack with weights up to 105 pounds, kettle bells up to 70 pounds, dip rack, lat machine, and 3x dumbbell racks with weights to 100 pounds. Our soft tissue and multiplex area includes rollers, core/balance balls, smash balls, medicine balls, harnesses, push sleds, ladders, dot drill mat, battle rope, sand bags, vests, plyometric boxes, jump ropes, straps and pull up bars. A warm up area includes a 30-yard turf stripe for multiple functions.

    Bob Hall is widely regarded as one of Worcester Academy’s all-time best all-around athletes. He graduated from Brown University and played professional football for the Minnesota Vikings before pursuing a career in finance.
  • Worcester Ice Center

    Boys and Girls home hockey games will soon be played at the new Worcester Ice Center—a state-of-the-art,100,000-square-foot hockey facility nearing completion down the hill from campus. The facility includes two full-size ice rinks with mezzanine seating, an athletic training and conditioning center, locker rooms, and concession stands.
  • Other Massachusetts Facilities

    The crew team rows on Lake Quinsigamond and stores their shells at the Donahue Rowing Center in Shrewsbury. The golf team plays at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston. The ski team competes at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area in Princeton.
