 Week In Review
  • Girls’ varsity tennis continues their outstanding season (5-1) with an impressive bookend 3-2 weekend series wins over the Williston School. It was fitting that the lone senior on this year’s team, Eleanora Winston teamed with Olivia Bennett for the decisive win in the final doubles match of Saturday’s contest. Congratulations to all!

  • Our track & field teams performed well in Saturday afternoons meet at Gaskill Field. In nearly perfect conditions a deep, talented WNH squad was able to hang on for a pair of close victories over the host Hilltoppers. Outstanding performers for Worcester Academy included:

  • Baseball jumped ahead by a 3-1 count in Friday’s series opener but the visitors from Williston rallied for a 6-3 win at Blackburn Field. The teams split a double header on Saturday with the hosts winning the 1stgame by a 4-3 count in extra-innings and the Hilltoppers finishing on a high note with an 8-2 victory in the night cap.

  • Softball dropped a pair of games over the weekend and will conclude their season on Wednesday – Senior Day – when they host the Winchendon School at New Balance Field. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.

  • Girls’ varsity lacrosse ended their 2021 campaign on Saturday losing to a very talented WNH squad. The day’s events centered around our seniors who were recognized by coaches and underclassmen and feted with a nice post game celebration.

  • Boys’ tennis had a pair of competitive matches against Williston who withstood some strong WA efforts prior to falling in their weekend series. Friday afternoon’s # 1doubles match (Andre Mukhin /Omar Saber) was a particularly well played match with a number of long volleys.

  • Golf ended their season with a 216-202 loss to WNH denying retiring WA coach, Al Vaudreuil a win in his final match. Thanks to Al and to our three seniors for an outstanding season.
