WA Tops League Rival Tilton

Playing in the NEPSAC Class AA Showcase at Cushing Academy, Worcester Academy defeated league rival Tilton School, 78-62.  

Strong inside play from three committed seniors, Iowa-bound Josh Ogundele (London, ENG) & Holy Cross committs Judson Martindale (Sudbury, MA) & Michael Rabinovich (Hopkinton, MA) paced WA in the first half, as they entered hafltime tied (for the third straight game) at 35.  

Junior guard Jhamyl Fricas (Lawrence, MA) drilled three 3-pointers in the second half.  Steller offensive play by sophomore point guard Dasonte Bowen (Boston, MA) and key defensive plays by freshman guard Kayvaun Mulready (Worcester, MA) keyed a Hilltopper attack that lead by double-digits for most of the half.

Bowen lead WA in scoring with 21 points, while Ogundele scored 13 points.  Fricas capped his night off with 11.

Worcester improves to 11-5 overall (9-2 in NEPSAC Class AA).  The Hilltoppers return to Rowe Court to face Suffield Academy on Wednesday afternoon, then travel to Rhode Island College to face off against long-time rival Blair Academy on Friday night as part of the National Prep School Invitational.
