Morse Field

20 Winthrop Street, Worcester, MA  01604

Worcester Academy’s brand new multipurpose playing field, featuring turf instead of grass, opened for play at the start of the 2011–2012 school year. It is located just a block away from the main campus sitting on the site of the former St. Vincent’s Hospital. Morse Field, named in honor of former Head of School Dexter P. Morse and his wife, Barbara, hosts varsity football, lacrosse, field hockey, soccer and softball. As part of the $3.2 million project, lights were installed for Friday night football games. There is also a walking track surrounding the field.
WORCESTER ACADEMY® is a co-ed day and boarding school for grades 6 to 12 and postgraduates. Our urban setting, diverse community, and innovative curriculum provide each student with unique opportunities for self-discovery, academic achievement, and personal empowerment.
