WORCESTER ACADEMY PERFORMANCE CENTER

14 Marion Street, Worcester, MA

The musical Helen on 86th St. follows Vita, a vibrant and unique 12-year old girl, as she learns to cope with an absent father, a single mother, a disappointing role in the school production of The Trojan Horse, and the daily pressures of being a tween growing up in New York City. It’s a story of love and loss, longing and acceptance, as seen through the eyes of a young girl wise beyond her years.

The writer of the show, Nicole Kempksie, is originally from Central Massachusetts (she now lives and works in New York).  She actually gave her first performance ever in Worcester Academy's Warner Theater! A movie version of Helen on 86th St. is also currently in the works-- Ms. Kempskie won the award for best musical screenplay at the 2016 International Family Film Festival.

Admission is free, but reservations are required as seating is limited.
Please email eliza.hale@worcesteracademy.org for tickets.
