Mission
The mission of the library is to provide student-centered resources and to offer services, opportunities, and programs that promote life-long reading and inquiry.

Goals of the Library
  • Provide instruction and support to utilize the library resources effectively, independently, and responsibly
  • Provide programs that encourage the enjoyment of reading
  • Instill in students the appreciation of and respect for shared knowledge
  • Provide an inviting, creative, and innovative space that encourages collaboration and inquiry
  • Ensure that the reading, thinking, writing, and creative skills developed in the library provide a solid foundation for life beyond Worcester Academy.
Features and Resources of the Library
  • Resources are collected to support the Middle and Upper Schools' curricula for research and study and to provide all members of the Worcester Academy community with information in various formats.
  • Resources include books, magazines, journals, newspapers, databases, CDs, and films. Equipment resources include a printer/copier/scanner, headphones, video cameras, and iPads.
  • Maker materials in the library include 3D printers, robots, electronics, games, art supplies, and a Lego wall. These materials are available for students to use anytime as well as to support classroom work and curriculum.
