Worcester Academy Alumni Team Announced

Ursula Arello ’85, P’21 and Alicia Figueiredo have been chosen to lead the new Worcester Academy Alumni Team.

Ursula Arello, a longtime active alumna and member of the Class of 1985, is director of donor and alumni engagement.  She began at Worcester Academy as director of donor relations and stewardship in 2014.  Her brother, Bob Arello Jr., graduated from Worcester Academy in 1976.  Her daughter, Eleanora Arello-Winston, is a member of the Class of 2021.

Ursula said she is excited to be working with Alicia to provide joint leadership to Worcester Academy’s network of 7,500 active alumni.

We will be ensuring that Worcester Academy alumni enjoy the many programs, events, and resources that are available,” said Ursula.  “As an alumna myself, I appreciate having had opportunities over the years to remain engaged with the Academy community.”

Alicia Figueiredo is manager of alumni programs and events.  She began at Worcester Academy as campaign assistant before becoming coordinator of campaign operations and event planning, which included coordination of Reunion Weekend, Board of Visitors, and international alumni events.

Alicia said the Alumni Team would be encouraging alumni to stay connected to WA, to take their association to heart, and to become involved.

“The advantages of attending Worcester Academy don’t end with graduation,” Alicia said.  “There are so many ways to extend your WA friendships and experience that will benefit you and your classmates for a lifetime.”
