Accepting Applications

The priority filing deadline for Worcester Academy Applications has passed, however we are still accepting applications for '14-'15 as well as for the '15-'16 Academic year. If you are interested in applying for the '14-'15 year, please contact the Admission Office at 508-459-5841; ask to speak with an Admission Counselor.

Application Process

Applying to independent schools can be a daunting process as you explore multiple schools. Although the schools you are looking at may all be different, the application process is suprisingly similar.

Step 1: Inquire
  • Complete an online inquiry form to express your interest in Worcester Academy and receive printed materials in the mail.
Step 2: Set up your Campus Visit
  • Contact us in the Admission Office at 508-459-5841 to schedule the required campus tour and interview.
  • International students should email Mr. John Ettore to arrange an interview.
Step 3: Register for the entrance examination
Fee waivers are available from the Admission Office for either the ISEE or SSAT test. Worcester Academy follows the SAT fee waiver guidelines. If you believe you qualify for a fee waiver, please contact your Admission Counselor. 

Step 4:  Ask for Recommendations and have your school send your transcripts

Print the following files from our website and ask your current teachers to complete them by January 15, 2015. 
Step 5: Complete your Application by Wednesday, January 15, 2015

Decisions will be mailed on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 for applications completed by January 15, 2015. Decisions for applications completed after January 15, 2015 will be mailed after April 1, 2015.

Register for an admission test
We require either the ISEE or SSAT as an entrance exam for grades 6–11. Applicants for grades 11–PG may also submit the PSAT or SAT. International Students need to submit TOEFL and SSAT scores.  School Code for TOEFL is 8018; for the SSAT, 8320.

Investigate Financial Assistance
If you are interested in applying for financial aid, please fill out the SSS form online. Our need-based financial assistance is helping 40% of families this year.
