Worcester Academy's boys' basketball team led from start to finish in an early season Class A contest with New Hampton School. The Hiltoppers raced out to a 42-34 halftime advantage behind the solid guard play from the backcourt tandem of Gabe Kindred (20 points) and Austin Carroll (30) points. It was, however, the defensive side of the floor where the Hilltoppers showed marked improvement from their season opener as they combined to limit the effectiveness of their rivals from the north. Worcester received solid contributions from all 10 players throughout the contest and will now gear up for their 1st road contest of the season, a Class A encounter with St. Thomas More (Oakdale, CT) Monday afternoon, 6:00 PM.
