Worcester Academy's Kaitlyn Mathieu '10 scored her 1,000th point in a Girls Varsity Basketball game against Suffield today.

With newspaper and television outlets on hand for the big moment, fans cheered and teammates hugged Kaitlyn after she sank her 19th point of the game to put her at 1,000.

Kaitlyn, a senior from Waterboro, ME, will attend the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, on a full grant-in-aid scholarship, and will play basketball. She has been playing for the Girls Varsity Basketball Team at Worcester Academy for the past two years.
