The Ninth Annual Worcester Academy
Rowe Golf Scholarship Tournament was held
June 18 in perfect conditions at
Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton, MA.
The tournament, which supports the
Rowe Scholarship Fund, drew 144 golfers, and many more alumni, friends, and family at the dinner that followed.
The golf tournament is named for
Donald E. "Dee" Rowe '47, a legendary WA alumnus and coach, in recognition of 50 years of service and devotion to Worcester Academy.
Over the years, the scholarship fund has benefited 23 Worcester Academy students, with many tens of thousands of dollars being distributed annually.
The tournament - which provides financial aid to deserving students - is one of the many ways that Worcester Academy is creating opportunities for young people and supporting student achievement.
